Newf: Ben, do you know of anyone interested in adopting a two-year-old, fully trained basset hound?Me: *too busy to respond as I am trying to keep my insides from exploding with excitement while shoving my current puppy off my lap because he is officially old news and no longer worth my attention...*
Newf: Anyone who is not us?
Me: *picks up old-news puppy out of the garbage and sulks...*

What an adorable picture. Wow, so sad, I hope he finds someone to love him.

take him! calvin needs a brother!
I should have clarified...this is a picture of what I presume to be a younger basset hound since he isn't yet fat and stoned looking. Found it via LMNOP from Cuteoverload.com
Regardless, this apartment isn't big enough for four...I was pushing my luck with the first pooch.
If anyone ELSE is looking for a hound though, let me know. I'll be a fantastic uncle.
I'd be willing to just adopt the paws. I'm actually on a secret death-watch for my insane cat so I can get a dog someday. But I'm not about to mix her up with another animal. She needs her space.
can't breathe.
so. cute.
I want a puppy. I don't know what Barry would do, but I'm willing to find out.
Basset Hounds = 50-65lbs.
Calvin = 10lbs for life.
Somehow I feel he wouldn't be happy if I brought the incredible lazy hulk into his life.
Must wait until summer to adopt our second wiener. More on that scoop to come.
If you add to your weiner dog army this summer, you know that we're going to have to think about it too. Not that we haven't already thought about it...
You better believe that we'll be dragging you two down with us. I am NOT going through training by myself again.
