Getting closer to a world tour

For anyone in the area and interested, I'll be doing two public readings this weekend for English Undergrad conferences. My creative writing prof from the summer asked me to present a prose piece that I've been working on for a while and I figured I've got nothing to lose. It's pretty artsy stuff but I'm in my own session so you can support and duck out right after.

The first session is this 5:15pm on Friday in the Mount Saint Vincent University Faculty Lounge (Seton 404/405) and will last about 45 minutes. I'm not entirely sure how unless I get overwhelmed with questions in the Q&A portion but we'll see.

The second is at 9:00am on Saturday at Dalhousie in the Archibald Room of King's New Academic Building. Anyone know where that is?? It'll be a repeat of the night before but with a potentially bigger crowd and higher stakes.

Thanks all!

Wow, I typed some words in this box, and then they were gone, just like that. I didn't do anything, they just disappeared into cyber-space. That was so weird. Your comment box eats words!
I was saying good luck, maybe it sent the wish to someone who needs it more than you. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yay! Glad some friendly faces will be in the crowd!

I've had that happen ALL THE TIME at Creampuff Revolution. It drives me nuts because I'm never as hilarious, witty and dazzlingly intelligent on the second attempt.

Yeah, I do that on purpose so that NO one will be as funny as ME. Hahaaa! Seriously - I'm sorry, how annoying. I ALWAYS think you're hilarious, witty and dazzlingly intelligent.

Speaking of which, I'm sad I can't be on the other side of the country for your reading! Will you post it somewhere?

I think I'm going to give the newf the task of taking video so that he won't get fidgety. If it turns out well, I'll make sure you can take a look. Otherwise, I'll send over the written version.

MSVU session is complete. I forgot to turn the shuffle feature off of my iPod so my recorded vocals came in out of sequence. Only a couple of people noticed Damn you technology! Rocked the Q&A session though.

Full blog post to come after tomorrow's session at Dal.
