MIA Reason #1

We did it. Calvin came home Monday night and Tuesday morning I realized how much work puppies are. Like I said, I've researched the hell out of it but there are loads of things that I couldn't have anticipated. How do people have kids?? You can't crate-train those!

His brother was also picked up by Kimberly and is settling in over in Bedford. We're bravely helping each other through new puppy love, crate-training and house-breaking. We welcome any advice. Calvin's a champ so far but I've spent today getting him used to the cruel outdoors and haven't made much headway in getting his bathroom skills up to date. We're doing great for day #2 though.

I've relaxed after the oh-what-have-I-done moment yesterday morning and am feeling reassured by the praise the little gentleman is getting from everyone who knows how new puppies normally behave. He doesn't bark, he doesn't bite, he loves people and he'll fall asleep as soon as he's put on a lap. Any lap.

I've also decided that if he were to speak...he would have a british accent.
